Quality Analyst (QA)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Quality Analyst who will take ownership of end-to-end testing processes, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role requires strong expertise in test planning, test case design, defect management, Agile methodologies, and root cause analysis, along with exposure to emerging trends such as automation testing, AI-driven quality checks, and advanced reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Contribute to QA strategy and execution for assigned projects.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
• Perform manual testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing for web and mobile applications.
• Track, analyze, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA (or similar).
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives, stand-ups).
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) discussions and suggest improvements to reduce recurring defects.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA peers to ensure quality outcomes.
• Stay updated with basic Security Testing, API, or AI-enabled QA tools for future readiness.

Required Skill Sets:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT is a must along with 4-7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Automation testing tool like Selenium.
• Exposure to working in Agile and Scrum environments is a plus.
• Prior experience in working on JIRA & slack is an added advantage.
• Conduct quality inspections and audits to assess compliance with standards.
• Develop and implement quality control measures and procedures.
• Review and analyze data to identify trends and patterns related to quality.

Certifications:

Preferred: ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level), Optional Advantage: Agile/Scrum certification, AI-related QA learning.
